Experience an exhilarating week in Madrid, brimming with design thinking sessions, visits to innovative startups, insightful talks featuring our startups, immersive exploration of the enchanting city of Madrid, and, of course, valuable networking opportunities with talented participants from FAU, ITU, UPB, and UPM.
This event integrates entrepreneurship and social sciences with engineering, focusing on urban and societal problem-solving. Transforming Cities: Entrepreneurship, Social Skills, and Design Thinking (Innovation Week + Hackathon) offers a combination of seminars, workshops, and a collaborative hackathon to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience during one week. This event aims to foster collaboration among students from different EELISA universities and promote the development of practical and analytical skills needed to address social problems through innovation and entrepreneurship in engineering. You will know some EELISA startup ecosystems, as well.
You will find some SEMINARS:
- Objective: To provide a foundational understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship through Design Thinking methodology, among others.
- Content: Basics of innovation, entrepreneurship, and their application in engineering projects.
- Objective: To explore real-world case studies across various disciplines.
- Disciplines Covered: Industrial engineering, design, architecture, and computer science.
- Objective: To develop innovative solutions to specific social challenges.
- Format: Team-based, multidisciplinary approach.
- Team Composition: 10 work groups, each with 5 students and 1 mentor.
- Skills Developed: Practical and analytical skills in social problem-solving.

- Eligibility: Open to any EELISA student, regardless of their degree.
- Capacity: Limited to 50 students (travel expenses and accommodations will be covered).
