    The Education in the Era of Data initiative fosters interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and collaboration to transform urban spaces into hubs for lifelong learning and community development. Leveraging accessible, data-driven technologies and sustainability principles aligned with the SDGs, participants address real-world challenges while prioritizing social, environmental, and economic impacts. Through blended learning and activities like Datathons and Ideathons, the program promotes open innovation and community engagement, equipping future professionals to tackle health and wellbeing issues ethically while supporting resilient, inclusive local economies.

    Participation requirements

    The selection criteria for the Education in the Era of Data initiative are designed to build a dynamic, interdisciplinary learning ecosystem that addresses real-world challenges. Participants will be chosen based on their interest in transforming urban spaces into sustainable, community-focused hubs of lifelong learning. This includes a strong motivation to engage with neighborhood issues tied to sustainability, community development, and the SDGs. Candidates should demonstrate curiosity about data-driven solutions and their potential for addressing local challenges using user-centered design principles. Additionally, participants are expected to bring teamwork and critical thinking skills, contributing actively to projects that combine technical knowledge and creative problem-solving. The program seeks a diverse group of students, faculty, and civil society representatives to foster a rich exchange of ideas and experiences.
