A Kolam is an artistic manifestation consisting of a geometric design generally made with rice flour, red brick paste or chalk powder. Considered as an ephemeral art of women from southern India, it will allow us to delve into mathematics from a different point of view.

    Phases:

    • Training phase: two training sessions will be held, one of an artistic nature (kolam techniques) and another of a scientific nature (anthropology, mathematics and kolam). • Competition: creation of kolams on site by the participants. A competition will be held among all the creations made, evaluating both their design and their connection to mathematics.
