What’s in it for you?
As part of the hybrid Siemens Research and Innovation Ecosystem (RIE) Conference Week, researchers of the Institute for Factory Automation and Productions Systems (FAPS) will take you on a virtual tour through their electronics research lab. Discover the latest innovations in additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence centered in the field of power electronics. Explore the laboratories with machines for laser powder bed fusion, plasma coating and wire bonding, all leading up to a holistic understanding of the process steps necessary for flexible manufacturing of power modules. Get to know the challenges regarding temperature distribution, current density, material properties and many more which are addressed in current joint research projects. Additionally, you get to meet researchers who apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize electronics production. Curious?
