Being held annually since 2021 and for the third time this year, 3VIA 2023 is a gamification workshop organized in the framework of the European Researchers’ Night, which is an annual Europe-wide public event that showcases the diversity of science and its impact on citizens’ daily lives in an inspiring way. 3VIA 2023 is an international collaboration of five universities of the Circular EELISA Community within the framework of the EELISA European University AllianceÉcole des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) from France, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (ITU) from Türkiye, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna Pisa (SSSA) from Italy, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) from Spain, and Universitatea Națională de Știință și Tehnologie Politehnica București (NUSTPB) from Romania.

3VIA 2023 promises a fun night of collaborative learning and research for the interested university students and professionals to raise awareness of the circular economy in Europe. It is a two-hour event consisting of brief informational presentations, quizzes, and discussion sessions primarily geared towards university students from all disciplines and levels across and beyond Europe. Short presentations will introduce participants to the basics of the circular economy concept and inform them about the European Commission’s EELISA framework. A question and answer method will be used to invite participants from different backgrounds and locations in European countries to actively participate in three thematic trivia sessions to arouse their curiosity and interest in joining the “reduce, “reuse,” and “recycle” principles of the circular economy concept. The trilogy of questions will be followed by an open debate on the circular economy and its socio-civic engagement. The evening will end with the announcement of the awards to the participants, and a short brief on the upcoming opportunities of the Circular EELISA Community.
