What? Description of the course "Open Science and Research Data Management"
The purpose of the training activity dedicated to PhD students is to provide future researchers with useful information on copyright and the ways to disseminate research results, to raise awareness about data managing and sharing, and to present the obligations regarding open access and data management in the case of projects funded by third-party entities.
The duration of the training activity will be 6 and a half hours, divided into two modules:

How? In-person course in:
- Palazzo della Carovana, piazza dei Cavalieri 7, Pisa
- Palazzo Strozzi, piazza Strozzi, Firenze

- A general module (3 and a half hours) dedicated to an introduction to open science, copyright, and open access, as well as a brief overview of the functionalities of the institutional research archive IRIS;
- A specific module by disciplinary area (3 hours), with a practical focus, in which the FAIR principles will be presented through one or more useful tools for managing research data.
