Engineers becoming Quantum-aware
Various applications of quantum technologies have already entered our lives.
Some of these applications are still in the research phase and will be offered to humanity in the very near future.
For example, quantum computers are being built in various centers worldwide.
When a fully functioning quantum computer becomes active worldwide, engineers and even end users will face challenges in how these computers can be used, how they can be coded, and how they can be prepared for the security risks posed by them.
In addition to their many features, quantum computers will have incomparable power in optimization problems, so the efficient use of resources has effects that support sustainable development plans in transportation, portfolio optimization and many similar issues.
In the meeting we will hold, we will briefly introduce quantum technologies to engineer candidates and convey our assumptions about how they can prepare for this new engineering age. At the same time, discussions on how to train quantum-aware engineers at the undergrad level will also be included within the scope of the education quality of European engineers.
