This activity aims to foster the collaboration among students, academic staff in Mathematics and other disciplines, within the EELISA alliance and possibly interested external agents, by means of the realization of multidisciplinary projects.
It is meant to be a continuation of the Math4SDG project, carried out within the framework of the 1st EELISA Joint call.
In a first phase of this new activity, mixed groups formed by students in Mathematics, or closely related degrees, and other different disciplines will develop a project under the supervision of faculty members of the involved Universities, or an external agent.
Examples of possible collaborations are:
- Mathematical models in population dynamics and/or epidemiology, with a biotechnology perspective
- Mathematical models in civil engineering, with applications to dams
- Interplay between different areas of mathematics
- Mathematical approaches to Sustainable Development Goals
In the Final Presentations event, June, 14th, 2024, the groups will present their work. The attendants students, upon registration, will receive an EELISA Badge for their participation in this event.
