This activity aims to foster the collaboration among students, academic staff in Mathematics and other disciplines, within the EELISA alliance and possibly interested external agents, by means of the realization of multidisciplinary projects. It is meant to be a continuation of the Math4SDG project, carried out within the framework of the 1st EELISA Joint call. In a first phase of this new activity, mixed groups formed by students in Mathematics, or closely related degrees, and other different disciplines will develop a project under the supervision of faculty members of the involved Universities, or an external agent. Examples of possible collaborations are:
    • Mathematical models in population dynamics and/or epidemiology, with a biotechnology perspective
    • Mathematical models in civil engineering, with applications to dams
    • Interplay between different areas of mathematics
    • Mathematical approaches to Sustainable Development Goals
In the second part of the activity, the teams will present their work in a joint workshop, whose mode and organization will be defined once the participants will be identified. The realization of the activity will take place during the academic year 2023-2024, according to the needs of the participating institutions. If you are a student, or a researcher/professor, or an external agent interested in participating, please contact the coordinator of the activity, Andrea Tellini ( andrea.tellini@upm.es )
