First held in 2021 as part of the European Researchers’ Night, ScapeRoom 2022 is the second public activity of the gamification trilogy titled CIRCULAR IN PLAY, which is a recipient of the first EELISA Joint Inter-institutional Activities in Communities fund. This year, ScapeRoom was held during the 2022 Madrid Science and Innovation Week. The Circular EELISA Community organizes the activity in which teams of students participate in different challenges, 3R Pictionary and Earth’ Defenders, with the aim of awakening curiosity and interest around the Circular Economy and social and civic skills.  The event also includes short informative presentations and discussion sessions geared towards first- and second-year university students from diverse countries. Besides a brief presentation of the basics on the concept of the circular economy, and an introduction to the EELISA Alliance. Up to 51 participants (among them, 29 students) from different universities and countries joined the meeting and formed groups to solve the quizzes. Attendees are eligible for an EELISA Discovery badge.

The host universities include Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (ITU), Universitatea Politehnica din Bucureşti (UPB), and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna Pisa (SSSA).
