Metaverse & Sustainability

In this student community, we want to explore how the metaverse and sustainability relate to each other. Are there any great advantages and technological opportunities that enable us to live a more sustainable life on earth thanks to the metaverse? Or does it waste (energy) resources and the positive effects are not actually what we thought they are? Together with students from different countries and study programmes, we want to explore how the metaverse affects a sustainable life on this planet and we want to dive deeper into the metaverse.

We will meet at the Siemens RIE conference "Beyond Digital: it's all about value" to present the outcomes of our metaverse challenge in September! We'll showcase the power of game design and how children can learn about climate change mitigation in urban areas in a playful way. Thanks to everyone who participated in our challenge in September! It was a blast and we'll for sure be working on a second edition!
