Water is the basis and the key element of the “EELISA WATER in an ERA of Change Community” and the reason we partnered with a commitment to increasing our knowledge on hydrological systems and governance of water resources. This includes, among other concerns of society, knowledge about hazard protection, resource equitable uses and conservation of ecological integrity in the current global change context. This commitment leads us to the following main components of the mission of the EELISA WATER in an ERA of Change’s (EWEC) Community: to coordinate teaching and research activities that provide multidisciplinary solutions to society’s key water concerns in an era of change. We have organized our community in three main work paths due to the nature of activities presented so far:

  1. Basin Management
  2. Geo-hydrological Risks
  3. Water and Wastewater Treatment.
