How can I receive recognition for participating in EELISA community activities?
EELISA Credentials (Guidelines)
EELISA credentials recognize participation and achievements in community activities through a badge system. Badges reflect alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and impact levels, ranging from discovery to transformation, documenting the progression of knowledge and skills gained.
EELISA Micro-credentials Requirements
The European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan refers to micro-credentials as an innovative instrument that ‘can facilitate flexible learning pathways and support workers on their job or during professional transitions’. EELISA micro-credentials complement EELISA credentials by recognizing the visibility, portability, stackability, and publicity of learning outcomes of short-term learning experiences.
A procedure for awarding EELISA micro-credentials is currently under development under T5.6 Recognition of EELISA micro-credentials which is supported by ENAEE.
How are the outcomes of community activities reviewed by EELISA?
Peer Review of Activity Outcomes (Data Management Guidelines for Activity Organisers )
EELISA data management system oversees activities to ensure and support the success, implementation and growth of initiatives. Each activity has an organiser who is responsible for, if appropriate, announcing the activity before it takes place, as well as for reporting the corresponding data once the activity has concluded. Organiser posts the activity using the Community Platform and receives an automatic email with data collection template and communication support. The peer review framework for activity outcomes is continuously being improved as part of the quality model in EELISA 2.0.
How do I get started with EELISA Communities and access materials on the pedagogical framework?
Community Processes
EELISA Communities are mission-driven working groups that bring together students, teachers, and researchers from all partner universities with prestigious professionals, grassroots organizations, citizens, private companies, and public institutions to find innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The developed community processes represent the procedures to build standards for data management and quality improvements for EELISA Communities. The detailed explanations and community process flowcharts are concurrently available only for WP8 representatives in Deliverable 8.1 (April 2024). Simplified versions of the processes will be added to the Get Started Page.
EELISA Community Platform is an online networking platform hosting a webpage describing the challenge, mission and goals of EELISA communities and their activities.
Maintaining EELISA Communities in the medium and long term may become a concern for community leaders. It is also possible for some EELISA Communities to become idle due to various reasons (i.e., community leader may leave the academia, a community may complete its existential purpose, etc.), but still listed among other communities within the EELISA Community Platform. For these cases, new processes for monitoring and supporting EELISA Communities and withdrawing an existing community will be defined by WP8 representatives.
EELISA Community Platform Website
The EELISA Community Platform (ECP) brings multidisciplinary and challenge-oriented EELISA communities together. ECP provides an environment for all EELISA members to connect and collaborate through various community activities such as internships, summer schools, teaching events, student contests, and research conferences.
EELISA Community Platform - Get-Started Page
Within the EELISA Community Platform there is a dedicated page for explaining the first steps on the platform called “Get Started Page”. This page explains how someone can be part of a community, how to create and manage a new community, how to create activities within the EELISA Community and how to get funding for additional support. This page is public and should be the entry point for all interested or new users of the EELISA Community Platform.
